Biography Excerpt:
Spurred by creativity, a need for self-expression and an extreme zeal for all that life has to offer, Carol J. Hoffman is an independent artist, author, designer and musician who has been producing original works for nearly 50 years. Publishing under the name C.J. Hoffman, she has written children’s books, cookbooks and inspirational works, composed gospel music and sacred anthems, and painted still life forms. With acrylic as her preferred medium, Ms. Hoffman portrays serenity in landscapes and what she calls the “beloved human form,” always maintaining beauty and simplicity as prerequisites. More recently she has begun incorporating abstract ideas and figures into her work, traversing a new realm openly and with excitement. Her first two books, “The Joy Reminder” and “Inside the Honey Walls,” are philosophical works with the goal of self-improvement and discovery. She is currently in the process of composing the third book in this series.

Cambridge Who's Who:
What makes you a valuable resource in your industry?
CAROL
J.
HOFFMAN
: I’ve hung in there and shown that there is no time or age limit. If you really want to do something, you can do it forever.
What are your short-term and long-term career goals?
My short-term goal is getting through 13 weeks of radio that will end in January 2010. I build [the shows] myself and have my own guests. I’ve been learning all about the industry – it’s very enjoyable. I never thought I’d have something like this thrown my way. My long-term goal is to be doing this until the day that I die.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your career?
I divide my time between writing, composing and art. They come as a package with me and it would be like choosing my children – I can’t choose one over the others.
