Ms. Huss was greatly inspired by her piano teacher, Ms. Alvaretta, and her mentors, Dr. Henry Fusner, Verna Straub and Dr. Donald Erb. She is passionate about seeing people succeed. Ms. Huss feels accomplished when she sees her students graduate. Her motto is 'Each flower blooms in its given hour.' Ms. Huss advises others who aspire to enter into her field to 'Hang in there. It's a hard field. Sometimes it is difficult. You don't what your students dependent on you, but you want to help them succeed. Especially with a creative child. You can't see the creativity if they're given too much guidance. See where it lies, don't interfere too much. She would like to dedicate her recognition to Verna Straub, the greatest Solfege-ear training teacher. A skilled teacher, she allowed students to make mistakes in order to zone in on exactly where they needed help.

Ms. Huss is a compassionate educator. She values the effects of music education on a child’s overall experience. “When students come in knowing how to play an instrument and they learn music theory,” she states, “it helps their memorization skills and helps them throughout their academic studies.”
Best Advice:
“When a child acts out on their fears, they are trying to look smart in the eyes of their parents or someone they respect. Children are afraid of failing. Sometimes, try and understand how fearful they are. Understand what they want to accomplish. Respect them.”
Passionate about:
“I love music and I love performance, but my aspiration is always to teach. I feel rewarded watching students build their confidence, since we’re in the performing arts field.”
Biography Excerpt:
Adeline E. Huss, MM is a retired music theory instructor who is now in private practice. Her expertise is in organ and music theory education. Her modus operandi is to assist students to excel in their overall academic studies through music education. Additionally, she motivates them to improve their self-esteem, which will help them in academics, performing arts and beyond, including real life applications. Ms. Huss received her master of music with a concentration in organ in 1966 and her bachelor of music in 1964 from the Cleveland Institute of Music. Within the next five years, she would like to publish a book on music theory.
