Why F is an Expert:
I deal very well with the inclusion and special needs students. I get the most satisfaction in seeing their improvements, which shows that they are setting and accomplishing new goals

Best Advice:
Challenge your children. Expect improvement and you’ll get it. Set high goals and make sure to enjoy seeing them improving. We only say I can; not I can’t. When someone says, “I can’t breathe!” I reply, “Believe me, you’re breathing!”

Passionate about:
Keeping children moving and enabling them to realize that they can do things and that they should feel good about themselves.

Biography Excerpt:
As a physical education teacher working with the students of Ringwood Public Schools (including the handicapped), Elizabeth M. Redner is driven by a strong desire to see her kids succeed, particularly in today’s climate of non-vigorous activities such as Internet browsing and video game playing. Ms. Redner's focus on the needs of the children, combined with her ability to help them set goals and feel good about themselves, have made her the toast of Ringwood. “Sometimes these kids want to give up because everybody else is getting ahead of them,” she tells Cambridge during a recent interview, “but that’s when I step in, walk with them and tell them, ‘You’re doing great! Just keep going!’”

Interview Excerpt

Cambridge Who's Who: What is your greatest professional accomplishment to date?
ELIZABETH M. REDNER MA:  Most recently it was being asked to be featured on the television segment Classroom Close-Ups. I’m also expecting a story about it will be published.

You must have a great deal of patience.
Being married for 40 years has taught me to be patient.

What is the most significant issue facing your profession today?
Children are not being as active as they should! They sit around all day; they don’t get up and run around the way we used to.
