Why
F
is an Expert:
My expertise is in working with teachers to help them become the best that they can be. I share my expertise with teachers by coaching them in their professional development.
Best Advice:
I advise them to keep learning and changing. That’s the important thing; you always have to be open to change. If you are stuck in an old paradigm, then you are out of date – you don’t know what you are doing. That’s the whole purpose of education. I even have young teachers who are the same way. They say, “Well, I’ve always done it this way, so I know everything there is and don’t need to learn anymore.” That’s their death knell.
Passionate about:
I am passionate about learning for [myself] and helping others to learn.

Cambridge Who's Who:
What would you like to promote most about yourself or your business?
ELAINE
C.
KLEIN
: My ability to find out what each child’s gift is and use that to help unlock their ability to perform at a high level.
What is the most significant issue facing your profession today?
The most significant issue is that educators need to realize that we have to teach the whole child, thereby allowing all of his gifts to show. They cannot just educate in a few discrete areas that don’t really show us who that child is.
What is the most difficult obstacle or challenge you have faced in pursuit of your goals?
To be very frank, I would imagine it is my age because people sometimes see that as an obstacle. I don’t feel that way. I think every year you learn new things that help you to become better at what you do, if you are a continuous learner. Sometimes people feel – maybe because it reflects what they are like – that elders are not up to date and don’t know what’s happening in the whole big picture. Where I am located, the market is small. If I were in Washington state or Maryland, I would have no problem getting a job immediately. In those areas I have many people who are my fans. But here in Idaho where I have worked the last two years in a school that was becoming well-known, I still am not well-known, which is my biggest obstacle.
