Cambridge Who's Who:
What would you like to promote most about yourself or your business?
MICHAEL
SHOOP
: I am a strong manager, and detail-oriented as a result of my Italian background.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your career?
Attaining the manager role that I currently have, I would say is the most rewarding; being able to oversee the different aspect of the investment management process.
What made you transition from accounting to a managerial position? What prompted this change?
I was doing investment accounting and just rose up the ranks to manager of investment accounting. I then proved myself as a manager with good managerial skills, so I was put in a position to oversee all of the investment manager operations. It wasn’t really a change of trajectory; I always wanted to be a manager, but I just went through it through the portfolio avenue as opposed to a different channel.
