Biography Excerpt:
With the transient nature of the healthcare industry, it seems as though every month ushers in a host of new studies, trials and drugs to refute the claims of those that preceded them, leaving consumers perplexed as to which products they should trust to treat or cure their ailments. Dr. Marie Foegh has spent more than 20 years assisting in the strategic development of pharmaceutical products and acquiring their approval from regulatory compliance agencies. She recently joined Agile Therapeutics as its chief medical officer and vice president of clinical development, roles that she is well-qualified to assume due to her prior experience with other pharmaceutical companies.

DR. MARIE FOEGH D.SC.:  The most significant issue facing my profession is [the lack of] investments in novel ideas.

And what specific steps have you taken toward achieving these goals?
We have been marketing ourselves and showing what results we have, presenting ourselves to seek out investors.

What are your short-term and long-term career goals?
It’s a very difficult financial market at the moment. My short-term goal is to get enough venture capital interest for a larger study.
