Interview Excerpt

Cambridge Who's Who: What is the most rewarding aspect of your career?
CAL H. WORRELL MD, MA, FAAP:  Helping people. I founded the first mental health clinic on the east side of Detroit in 1962 called the Northeast Guidance Center. For this accomplishment, I just received the Eli Z. Ruben Service Award, which was a silver clock, from the Detroit Yacht Club, which held a big reception in my honor.

What is the most significant issue facing your profession today?
I’d say the cost of healthcare.

Do you have a motto?
I attend meetings and read The Journal of Pediatrics.
