Brenda Jean Udell is the owner and founder of Affordable In-Home Care, a home healthcare services provider that caters to elderly individuals with short- and long-term disabilities. Her expertise includes the treatment of geriatric patients, hospice care and tending to individuals with Alzheimer’s disease. Ms. Udell is a compassionate individual who goes beyond the duties many caregivers perform. She provides a personal touch of care that includes taking her clients to the places they need to go, including the church or the beauty parlor. Whether permanently or temporary disabled, Ms. Udell helps her clients to overcome their fears and lead as independent lives as possible. This approach, which helps change the person’s point of view so their tasks and goals seem more attainable, is appreciated by her clients, who have referred her to additional patrons.

     

Cambridge Who's Who: What would you like to promote most about yourself or your business?  
BRENDA JEAN UDELL :  I go above and beyond the average caregiver. I transport clients to doctor appointments, the supermarket, etc. I also teach other caregivers how to be good at their job.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your career?
The most rewarding aspect of my career is helping the clients so that they feel they have some independence.

I stay current by reading and speaking with other healthcare givers.
