Mary Catherine (Cathy) Ellwood Stychno is a perfect example of an individual who has taken their personal subject of interest (the auto industry) and ran with it to become an exceptional expert and businessperson within her field. As a former manager of global supply management human resource BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) at Delphi Automotive LLP, she utilized 34 years of experience in global supply management, outsourcing services and information technology supporting business processes in order to manage operational strategies in the transformation of human resources into a global business system and processes; she also lead indirect machinery and equipment acquisition, and divestiture activities for global supply management restructuring – all the while meeting market and consumer demands.

What are your short-term and long-term career goals?
MARY
CATHERINE ELLWOOD
STYCHNO
: My short-term goal is to permanently relocate to south Florida, from where I intend to launch my long-term goals in the fields of manufacturing management, healthcare, supply management and human resources – either as a director or a CEO.
And what specific steps have you taken toward achieving these goals?
I obtained my bachelor of science in computer technology and a master’s degree in manufacturing management. I worked for a global Fortune 500 company for 33 years and am pursuing a second career by utilizing an executive job changing company.
How do you remain current in your profession?
I believe that continued education in all forms is essential. I do a lot of networking, which I think is most helpful. The Internet is an invaluable tool I also use to remain current.
