“Love one another and look for hope. Hope will give you energy and motivation. If people don’t have dreams, they won’t be able to continue with their plans. We have to have dreams to accomplish our goals. Stay with like-minded, positive people as well.”

Passionate about:
“People must think about the future of our country and understand that this is our land. Whatever we do and say is very important to all of us. Life is too precious. We must have more tolerance for one another. My son is a Marine. He went to war and I will never forget the moment when he left. He said “Good bye” five times. The last time he said it was very emotional. After, we didn’t hear from him for a long time. On March 19th, 2008, when he called, I was so happy to hear his voice. He said, “I want you to know one more time, I love you and I miss you. I want the best for you and my country. I hope I will come back home.” Life has a different meaning for each of us. It’s really good to share some real experiences.”

Margaret Gewont is the owner and general manager of Fitzgerald’s Motel, located in the heart of Downtown Wisconsin Dells. Like the region of Wisconsin Dells during summertime, Ms. Gewont has a warm and inviting demeanor. She is a people person, perfect for her current stint in hospitality. Fitzgerald’s Motel is committed to providing visitors and guests the finest possible time in Wisconsin Dells, which means rising above and beyond the call of duty.

     

Cambridge Who's Who: What would you like to promote most about yourself and the hotel?  
MARGARET GEWONT :  Our busiest time, which is from June to August. That’s when we have most of our clients coming in from all over the world. We are in the heart of downtown Wisconsin Dells. Since we are in the center, all the major attractions are within walking distance or nearby. Wisconsin Dells is the capital of water parks. There are also boat rides, roller coasters, horseback riding, hiking, fishing and skiing activities.

What exactly do you provide at your facilities?
We have an outdoor pool. We are known primarily as a place for families. Many families come from neighboring Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, Iowa and Indiana.

What is the most difficult obstacle or challenge you have faced in pursuit of your goals?
I never think about obstacles because I see them as helpful situations. I appreciate every problem because they open different doors for me. I am a positive person.
