Best Advice:
A lot of people in this industry are narrow-minded. You just don’t come with a resume and expect a job; you have to first go through people whom you know. You need to have tough references because it’s not how it used to be.

Biography Excerpt:
In the late 1960s, when tensions between Cuba and the United States had reached the point of eruption, President Lyndon B. Johnson arranged for hundreds of thousands of Cuban citizens to escape Fidel Castro’s tyrannical rule by proposing chartered airplane rides to Miami, which would later become known as Freedom Flights. Jorge Lostal’s family came in 1968, one year after his arrival at the age of 13 with a dream and the passion to make it come true. Now a partner and manager of the international grain exporting and manufacturing company Agri Commodity Trade, LLC, Mr. Lostal has enjoyed a career that spans nearly four decades, which allows him to utilize his expertise in sales and logistics on a daily basis.

Cambridge Who's Who: What is the most difficult obstacle or challenge you have faced in pursuit of your goals?  
JORGE LOSTAL :  The most difficult obstacle I have faced is developing and obtaining credit for this company. Demand is always growing and if you want to grow, you have to grow with money.

What is the most significant issue facing your profession today?
The most significant issue is maintaining capital. There is a need for capital and banks are not giving money to many people. You need a lot of money to operate.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your career?
Making contacts during the years and providing the best service are the most rewarding aspects of my career.
