Published Works:
Ms. Alfonzo has served as the head of humanities department at Mater Salvatoris School. There, she taught Spanish, Hispanic literature and reading comprehension, and did literary and educational writing. She wrote two essays about two 19th-Century Venezuelan writers in 1998, one of whom was a politician and the other was a poet. She published those essays in 'El Nacional,' one of Venezuela’s largest circulation newspapers. Those essays were republished in 2002 in a book titled '50 Imprescindibles,' whose compiler is Jesús Sanoja Hernández, a well-known Venezuelan historian. She wrote two grammar textbooks for ninth-grade students in 1999, one of which was published by the Oxford University Press.
