Interview Excerpt

Cambridge Who's Who: Do you find your work can save relationships or do you encounter couples who are too far-gone?
DEBORAH M. WADE LPC, LMFT:  Some marriages are too far-gone, as far as the wounds that have been created; also, couples aren’t willing to do the work that would be required of them to heal. I believe that any couple that is committed to the process and willing to do the work can heal themselves.

What would you like to promote most about yourself or your business?
The sex therapy and intimacy work that I provide to couples is one of the most significant things that we do. I have a high success rate. Not all couples are a success – I’ve certainly had some failures – but any marriage therapist, if they’re honest, will tell you that.

How long is the process?
It varies from months to a year, depending on the issues and problems with which they’re struggling and the depth of damage that is already in the relationship.
