Why F is an Expert:
Death and dying, grief counseling, catastrophic rehabilitation counseling and getting people back to work. I have no fear. I can honestly say that in my 30 years of doing this, there was only one time I was put in a situation with an angry man where I was [somewhat] in fear for my life. That case needed to be referred to another co-worker.

Best Advice:
Try to find avenues where you can apply for grants and extra money to help your business if you’re not making quotas. It’s not so much about the money as it is about helping people.

Passionate about:
Therapy and the medical industry are my big passions. I’ve had many operations throughout my life.

Interview Excerpt

Cambridge Who's Who: What is the most significant issue facing your profession today?
CHERRYE CARR-AGUIRRE :  I was approved for $25,000 in grant money. My goal is to try to further advance the people I have here in their education and occupations. After being here for 13 years, I know a lot of people in Oakland County and the resources are here. I try to help my patients at least to have a paycheck.

What would you like to promote most about yourself or your business?
I like to help children who have panic disorders. I once helped a woman who worked in the Chamber of Commerce with her son, who went on to college and majored in criminal justice. Before I offered my services, he was already held back a year. She knows firsthand what I do here and was so thrilled. She wants support from the county.

Do you have a motto?
“It’s not the load that weighs us down, it’s the way we carry it.”
